Coach: Sean O'Sullivan
Coach O'Sullivan is a dedicated and experienced coach that is committed
to helping each player achieve success. Coach O'Sullivan brings over 20
year of coaching experience to the Philadelphia Freedom organization and
his goal is to teach good lacrosse habits and skills necessary to help
his players grow and increase their lacrosse IQ.
Coach O'Sullivan played high school lacrosse on Long Island, NY for
Oceanside High School. After graduating he played collegiate lacrosse at
the University of Delaware. He was a four-year varsity letter winner and
two-year starter at defense. During his senior year, his team won the
Since graduating in 1992, O'Sullivan has continued to coach numerous
teams at both the youth and high school levels in England, New York,
Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
During the work day, Coach O'Sullivan is a middle school principal in
the North Penn School District.
Assistant Coach: Dave DeBenedictis
Coach DeBenedictis has a passion for youth sports and the valuable lessons that young men and women can learn through competition. He believes that lacrosse typifies the relationship between hard work and success more than any other sport. Coach DeBenedictis' goal is to teach the offensive strategies and teamwork needed to be successful at the club level of lacrosse.
Dave played collegiate lacrosse as a midfielder and wrestled at the East Stroudsburg University. He has coached lacrosse for the past six years in the Lionville Youth Association and is entering his second year with the Philadelphia Freedom organization. Coach DeBenedictis lives in Glenmoore with his wife and two children while operating a carpentry/roofing business during the day.
